Why it's Important to Keep your Pool Clean
Each time we approach the summer season we must consider the
necessity of cleaning and maintaining the pool. The main purpose of these
activities is to ensure water quality. If you do the necessary operations, you can
enjoy a safe and comfortable swimming experience and protect the equipment that
serves the proper functioning of your swimming pool.
A recent study by American researchers from the University
of South Carolina identified mutagenic molecules in public pools that can
affect DNA. Researchers took water samples from 28 public and private pools and
hot tubs and compared the water before and after use, during normal and very
busy periods. After analysis, over 100 disinfection by-products from the
mixture of perspiration, urine and chlorine were identified. The more people
enter the pool, the stronger the mutagenic potential of water. Those who use
the pool most often are also most at risk. For this reason, an increase in
respiratory and bladder cancer pathologies has been observed among professional
swimmers and staff working in pools in the United States.
The risk of getting sick is a good enough reason to keep
your pool clean. Owning a swimming pool, whether private or public, implies
strictly applying some maintenance rules, in order to obtain the quality of the
water. Currently, the specialized market offers a full range of methods for pool cleaning in Plano, treating or filtering water from private and public pools.
