How Are Swimming Pools Built
Every swimming pool is different in terms of size, shape and features, but they are all built with very similar methods. Expert pool remodeling Plano contractors explain that here are some things that you should know:
- The first step is excavation – most swimming pools are built into the ground, which means that the construction process starts with the excavation of a suitably sized hole to accommodate the pool walls and the systems necessary for the pool, including the water supply, the filtration system and the special electrical systems. Some groundwork is necessary for above-ground pools as well – the soil needs to be level and suitably hard to receive the pool;
- The installation of the plumbing – these systems are quite complex and they require lots of knowledge to design and install correctly for a perfectly functional pool;
- The lining – every pool needs walls made from the material of choice. The most common options include concrete, stone, fiberglass, vinyl and tiles. The pool shell needs to be correctly connected to the water supply and to the other systems used by the pool, then the accessories, such as the ladders and the rails are installed;
- The back-filling – in the final phase, the area around the pool is reconstructed and the desired landscape is created.
