Summer Swimming in a Clean Pool
In the summer season, especially during very hot days, keeping your pool crystal clean can be a challenge. A leading pool tech in Plano with lots of experience has synthesized 5 aspects that are very important to consider in the periodic cleaning and maintenance process.
Ø Water filtration - A properly sized filter allows the retention of most mechanical impurities. As about filtration rate, consider a complete water circulation every 5-6 hours. Check the pressure in the filter twice a week, during hot periods (if the system has a manometer) and wash the filter whenever you notice an increase in pressure.
Ø Use water from a source that is as clean as possible (with few metals and medium hardness). Use the same water source for subsequent completions of the water level.
Ø It is highly recommended, before each use, to clean the pool of debris and cover it with a tarpaulin while you do not use it. For deep cleaning, we recommend an automatic vacuum cleaner; it will suck all the impurities, leaves, insects and dirt gathered at the base of the pool.
Ø Check and maintain the pH value of the water in the range 7.2 - 7.4. A correct pH value allows the other cleaning substances to act as efficiently as possible.
Ø Use chemicals and testers that you either know very well or have been recommended by trusted people.
